Happy Birthday Katya!

Oh, it had been a little while since I made my last birthday cake, so I truly enjoyed making this special cake for my friend Olga. Her daughter, Katya, turned 5 this week and they celebrated her birthday with Strawberry Shortcake! This cute doll is made out of rice crispies and fondant. The cat and dog are made from fondant. The cake was a 10" moist and fragrant Coconut Amaretto cake filled with alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate buttercreams.

It was my daughter's 5th birthday. We had a birthday party at My Gym. When everybody got tired of jumping, running, bumping into each other the time for the Strawberry Shortcake came. Everybody said "Wow"! "Wat a cake"! Yes, it was a real highlight of the party. Beautiful and delicious!

The cake was beautiful and delicious. I could hear:"Wow"! "What a cake"! "I wish I had a cake like that at my Bday party", "Never seen anything like that before"! etc.
