Oh boy, this was a fun and challenging cake....but we love challenges at Sandra's Cakes!  They only make us much better at what we do! I'm passionate about cakes, and these cakes are right up my alley!  My client was totally amazed and wrote me the sweetest email....."Henry thought the dinosaur cake was his best friend. No one thought it was a cake. Everyone thought it was a decoration or a stuffed animal. It was absolute art. It is the most incredible cake ever. Then to taste it was even better. None of us wanted to cut the cake. They love it. We love it. We all love you.Thank you again for making another masterpiece art cake for my family. I have said it before but you are truly talented. Your heart shines through in everything you do" .

How sweet is that! My heart smiles every time!  We are very proud of what we do and just LOVE making awesome looking cakes and cakes that taste just as amazing as they look!

Designed this cake for a maskarade themed Qunicianera celebration.  So gorgeous and elegant!  We took a tiny flower from the mask the client was using and turned it into the focal point for this cake along with some swirl patterns from the mask.   Three tiers, three different flavors...vanilla rum/strawberry buttercream, vanilla rum/ dulce the leche, chocolate/cookies and cream...yum!!!

This colorful cake was inspired by a photo my client sent me for her grandaughter's first birthday celebration.  Tasty red velvet cake filled with cream cheese and chocolate cake filled with cookies and cream.   Very happy client, very happy me!

Halloween Birthday Cake

Designed this  spooky fun cake for a birthday party this weekend.  Mom was thrilled when she picked up the cake.  Bottom cake was a moist vanilla cake filled with strawberry buttercream.  Top was a chocolate cake filled with cookies and cream buttercream.

I kept wanting to smell the sweet aroma of roses when we were putting together this cake.  The flowers looked so real that it was scary!  The Bride, Sarah, wrote me an e-mail and said the following "Sandra, that cake was beyond anything I could have imagined. Everyone came up to talk about the flowers. I'm considering saving them with the figures. Which, by the way, were SUPER CUTE. It tasted phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for (or found) anything better".  So glad everyone appreciated the labor of love that went into this cake!  Contratulations! This was an amaretto cake filled with alternating layers of vanilla and dulce de leche and a vanilla rum cake filled with passion fruit buttercream.
