BLUE CRAB ENGAGEMENT CAKE



One of my favorite cakes this week!  Unusual but so unique and, of course, like many of my cakes, it tells a story.  I just love cakes that have a story behind them and that are so unique for the special celebration.  This cake was an engagement cake and made to honor the grooms heritage.   The boat knot reflects the fact they will soon tie the knot!  This was a moist and fragrant vanilla rum cake filled with alternating layers of strawberry buttercream and vanilla buttercream.  Crabs handcrafted using sugar paste.
