Damask Wedding Cake

Black and White is in for 2011!  Damask design is also very popular for weddings and very elegant.  I designed this cake and used cutters to make my own damask design rather than using a stencil, which believe me would have been much easier and faster.  But I like using this technique better because I can overlay some of the pieces and give the design some dimension.  The red roses are gumpaste and really finish this design beautifully! I also love the sugar pearls around the borders, so elegant!
